Privacy policy

Last updated October 11, 2026. This policy covers the ScaleSpace website (scalespaceapp.com) and the ScaleSpace apps for iOS and Android, made by Sprung Interactive, LLC.

The short version

ScaleSpace has no accounts and keeps nothing about you on our servers. The website uses Google Analytics to see which features get used. The apps collect nothing at all.

The website

Your settings. The scale, key, and instrument you are looking at live in the page's address, which is what makes a view shareable. Your last view is also saved in your browser's local storage, so the site reopens where you left it. Both stay on your device; clearing your browser data removes them.

Analytics. The website loads Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager. It records the pages you view and how you use the tool, for example which instrument or scale you pick, along with what Google Analytics records by default: your browser and device type, the site that referred you, and an approximate location that Google derives from your IP address. It sets cookies to tell visits apart. We never send it your name, email address, or anything else that identifies you, and the site works fully if you block it. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy.

Hosting. The site is served by Vercel. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and standard request logs to deliver pages and keep the service running.

The iOS and Android apps

The apps have no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking, and they make no network requests of their own.

Your settings are saved on your device so the app reopens where you left it. Deleting the app deletes them.

PDF export. When you export a chart, the PDF is created on your device and leaves it only when you share it, to the destination you choose in the system share sheet.

Sound is generated on your device. The apps never use your microphone.

Children

ScaleSpace does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If what ScaleSpace collects ever changes, for example if ads are added, this page and the date at the top will be updated before the change ships.
